Disappointed for cloth diaper use, October 4, 2011

This detergent was supposed to be great for washing cloth diapers but it did not get them clean well at all. I stopped using it for my diapers but am using on my clothes (until it’s gone) and it works fine for that.

Fantastic stuff!!!!, July 10, 2010

I have been using this product for 5 years. Had to buy it direct for a couple of years as there was no outlet in the U.S. I firsts bought it at the Minnesota State Fair and got the original blue balls. This is a wonderful product. For a really dirty load (jeans, rags, etc.) I add some oxy additive, but otherwise this is all I use. Try it, you’ll like it.

Seventh Generation, Inc. is a Vermont-based company that manufactures a broad range of cleaning and personal care products that are compatible with the seven generation sustainability. That is to say, “In every deliberation, we must consider the impact on the seventh generation.”

This is the company’s Free & Clear fabric softener sheets. Free & Clear is very important to us, as I have a child whose sensitive skin reacts to something found various laundry items. With Free & Clear, we get products that are free of dyes, scents and bleaches – and a certain family member gets free and clear skin! The down side of Free & Clear is that the lack of scent means that you don’t get fancy-smelling towels – like some said, they tend to smell like cardboard. But, that is part and parcel of the Free & Clear product feature. Don’t expect scents from unscented products.

As for the operation of the sheets, our laundry comes out just as good as it does with the name-brand Free & Clear fabric softener sheets. Plus, the sheets are more environmentally friendly – it’s a win-win scenario. Yeah, we really did find these sheets to be really good, and we recommend them. Shop smart, and get these sheets.

Works well on clothes, but leaves towels crispy, April 23, 2011

I gave this product 4 stars because of the fact that it’s environmentally friendly, economical (when purchased on Amazon) and works really well on clothes, sheets or jeans. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it doesn’t meet my expectations on towels. I have to use a liquid fabric softener on my towels, otherwise I get complaints about crunchy towels !! LOL

If you are looking for a good dryer sheet that has no scent and you aren’t worried about stiff towels, then I’d recommend it. I don’t personally mind having separate fabric softener to use on our towels, but I am going to switch to their scented version of this dryer sheet, because I prefer a little scent to my freshly laundered clothes and towels. Just personal preference.

I would say overall they work alright but do get bunched up a lot and stuck in the lint trap from time to time so I’m not sure they are as effective as I thought they would be but I use them anyway!

I love that this is green and has SO many uses. My most shocking and fav discovery was when I used it to clean my carpet. I used a little bit of this (1/2 cap), Vinegar 1 cup, and diluted it with a gallon of water… put it in my carpet cleaner and it got rid of even the deep red koolaid stain that the professionals couldn’t remove! <3 it!

What can you say about all purpose cleaner? It cleans, has a reasonably nice smell (as cleaners go), and is a good value for your money. It shipped quickly, arrived quickly, and was packed in such a way to avoid any leaks (including tape over the cap).

I hope that more people will seek out products like this one that not only save you money over the long run but also help the environment.

Note that the 128:1 concentration is good for cleaning windows and glass surfaces, but tougher jobs will require a slightly higher concentration. I’ve decided to mix it 32:1 for general household cleaning (countertops, toilets, tubs, showers, etc.) It is tricky to get an exact measurement, but I think anything in the general ballpark will do. It’s fairly easy to dilute or concentrate it further if you need to adjust the strength.

For Everything, June 7, 2010

I was tired of dozens of cleaning products that impaired my breathing and destroyed the planet. I don’t need artificial colors to wash dishes. I don’t need a bottle for every little cleaning job.

I use gallons of BioKleen All Purpose Cleaner/Degreaser for everything. I use this for shampoo, hand soap, general cleaner, laundry, dish washing, produce wash, etc. The natural, light citrus scent is agreeable, and the degreaser is effective against grease. Since the original degreaser, BioKleen has expanded its line of products for every imaginable use. However, the degreaser alone is suitable for most cleaning jobs. I do not use liquid castile soap because it leaves a film that irritates my skin. BioKleen is technically a detergent (like most shampoos and dishwashing liquids), so there is no film that coats the skin. I also use the BioKleen powder detergent for laundry, too. So there are only two commercial cleaning products in my house – both are BioKleen.

Everyone else scrambles about because they ran out of shampoo, liquid hand soap, dish washing liquid, and laundry soap, but I sit back and relax because I have gallons of BioKleen All Purpose Cleaner/Degreaser – one product that does everything. Life has been simplified!

I just wish that all the ingredients were organic, but this is good for now.
